Currently Loving - Coloured Denim

A huge trend for spring that I am throughly loving is coloured denim, and with so many colours to pick from I feel spoilt for choice! I've dipped my toe in with white at the moment, which i brought while in London on monday, but i have a feeling that since denim is such a huge part of my everyday wardrobe I may end up with a whole spectrum of coloured denim by the end of summer.

My favourite denim cut is Topshop's Baxter. So incredibly comfy but not a super skinny cut so they are super flattering. My next colour choice will definitely be the coral as i have a love affair for that colour that will never die.

What denim will you be coveting this season and where from?

Hamleys - A Royal Lego Affair...

My friend Claire and I went to Hamleys on Regent Street in London yesterday where currently they have the most incredible Lego figures on display. There is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to match the wedding balcony photos that adorned all of the British papers in late April last year, with Prince Harry and Prince Charles at their side.
Hamleys had also done Queen Elizabeth II and one of her Corgis, which is very apt really as this is her Golden Jubilee year, the crown jewels, and even royal guards which were dotted around all over the place. They had even made a red phone booth though didn't get photos of that, and Sherlock Holmes.
How amazing are they? All i could think was who has spent many an hour building all these up?
I'll share more of Claire and my adventures later, and I'll take photos from our shopping spree on Oxford Street, though i didn't buy an incredible amount this time and I'll get back to some fashion related posts again.

What would you like to see more of on my blog?

Lookbook.Nu - Time Moves Slow...

My second Lookbook post. Tried to do a bit of editing so you dont have to look at one photo to see the total outfit this time. I took the photos myself this time with my camera on a tripod. This outfit was for going out with my BFF for dinner and drinks, as we live a while apart when we see each other we tend to make a special occasion out of it.

I felt in a dress mood and wanted to get some use out of my new bag and shoes so I went pale with the entire outfit and dressed it up with a red lip. The 3 rings on my index finger are in pastel shades, my way of dipping into the pastel trend that is so big for SS12.

I hope you like it. Find it on Lookbook here and if you like it feel free to hype it.

The French Bakery

Hello all! I recently went back down to London for a friend’s birthday weekend and we came across this lovely looking bakery just down the road from out hotel in County Hall. ‘The French Bakery’ was such a cute little delight, it was like Marie Antoinette had set up shop and let them eat cake. Sugary sweet displays, comfy chairs, dolls houses, flowery tea pots, gold framed menus, antiques and artwork decorate this little cafĂ© on Belvedere Road.
Granted you will pay £2 for a small coffee and nearly £4 for fresh orange juice but that pretty standard in London and coffee houses nowadays. I think it is well worth a visit just to have a look at the quirky surroundings and to try something different. You can find their website here

Have you tried somewhere interesting and different recently? Tell me where!

Lookbook.Nu - Help! I'm Alive...

So I've recently joined, which for those of you who haven't yet heard of it it is a website where people upload pictures of their personal style and other members 'hype' your look. Its not designed for people to be malicious and put you down about your look, but inspire yourself and others.

I discovered Lookbook via Pinterest when i was pinning pictures of looks I liked for inspiration on influencing my own style. So i decided I'd have a go, and here is my first 'look' taken by my friend Claire over at Little Lion Hampers.

So that's me. I will admit it felt awkward having my photo taken, I'm usually behind the camera but I suppose I'll get more confident. I've added the Lookbook widget to my side bar and if you like my look please go and hype it. My Lookbook Profile can be found here.

Do you use Lookbook? Want me to check out your looks? Post me a link!

Red Alert

So looking between all the catwalks from the fashion weeks recently I noticed the red lip was everywhere! From Victoria Beckham at NYFW, Henry Holland at LFW and Nina Ricci at PFW, make up artists were loving the red lip.
Now I know its 6 months too early to really be getting excited but I do love a red lip. Its so fun and classic, it can automatically dress up a pair of jeans. I have small eyes and so when I do too much I feel like they get smaller but if I play up my lips I often feel its more dressy and glamorous than anything I could do with my eyes.
I've accumulated a few different reds over the years, from a bright red By No.7 called Moulin Rouge I got from my Mum to deep and sultry reds like Ruby Vibes by Benefit, though I have 2 clear favourites, Benetint for a light tint on my lips when i want red but not opaque and 'Chilli' by Max factor which is my go to party Lipstick.

Will you be wearing red this Fall and if so what is your favourite red lip colour?
